About

PW-LAB is a technical consultancy. We combine electronics, software and additive manufacturing (3D printing) to deliver complete solutions — from PCB design and firmware, to 3D prints in specialty materials (UL94-V0, biocompatible, flexible), to machining and laser marking.

Software means more than you might think:

  • Firmware embedded in a custom microcontroller — e.g. a motor controller, sensor data logger, or medical device.
  • Desktop application with a database — e.g. a production or warehouse management system for a small business.
  • Custom website — not a template, but something designed and built around your business.
  • AI-powered process automation — e.g. a daily report generated without human involvement, email classification, or invoice data extraction.
  • Mobile app to control your electronics — e.g. a machine control panel running on your smartphone or tablet.
  • The app you've always wanted to build — from idea to a product ready for a global market of users.

Electronics — from prototype to finished device:

  • Quick start with off-the-shelf modules — need a one-off device? Arduino and ESP32 cut the path from idea to working prototype to a minimum — add the right sensor and you're up and running.
  • Component selection for your requirements — we research available hardware, evaluate real-time constraints, and make a target- and cost-tailored selection for your specific need, without overspending.
  • Advanced communication protocols — SPI for high-speed data exchange with peripherals, CAN for robust communication in industrial machines and vehicles, Ethernet for integration with network infrastructure.
  • Wired and wireless connectivity — Bluetooth Classic where throughput matters (audio, data streaming), BLE for low-power convenience and easy pairing, Wi-Fi for autonomous internet-connected devices.
  • Measurement — voltage, current, temperature, pressure, humidity, light intensity, pH, gas concentration, liquid flow — we capture data from the environment at any level of precision and sampling rate.
  • Drive control — DC, stepper and servo motor drivers; linear positioning systems, robotic arms, dispensing and material feed systems.
  • Orientation and position in space — IMUs (gyroscopes, accelerometers, magnetometers) to determine tilt angle, heading, and motion dynamics across three axes; from levelling systems to drones and autonomous vehicles.
  • Data logging — local storage on an SD card or direct transfer to a PC, cloud, or server — full measurement history always available for analysis and archiving.

3D printing — from a cheap plastic part to engineering-grade components:

  • FDM — the fastest and most affordable path to a finished part — FDM (filament) printing is the most accessible 3D printing method: ideal for prototypes, device enclosures, and custom brackets.
  • FDM — hard and rigid materials — carbon- or glass-fibre-reinforced filaments where standard plastic isn't stiff enough; replacement parts, brackets, structural components.
  • FDM — flexible and durable materials — TPU and TPE for gaskets, shock absorbers, flexible connectors, and components subject to impact or repeated bending.
  • SLA — quality and precision where dimensions matter — photopolymer resin delivers a smooth surface and tolerances that FDM cannot match; ideal for small, detailed parts and casting moulds.
  • SLA — a wide range of engineering materials — from affordable general-purpose resins to advanced options: ultra-rigid, flame-retardant (UL94-V0), flexible, biocompatible, and silicone-like.
  • Want to learn 3D printing? — we run 1:1 workshops for individuals and businesses; from first-print basics and material selection to advanced slicer settings and print optimisation.
  • Problem with your printer? — give us a call. Calibration, mechanical failure, clogged extruder, slicer errors — we diagnose and fix.
